I live in a little space in San Francisco & make very small ceramic pieces. I like to make pretty things from simple materials. The clay I choose to work with is Low-Fire (1800 & has a raw, earthy consistency so you'll find tiny dots, speckles & bubbles embedded in the clay. I mold & shape the clay by hand which leaves every piece not-quite round & not-so symmetrical. Careful time is invested on the finishing process: sanding & brushing glazes. My product tags are also printed by me on a heavy, but small, tabletop letterpress that was designed for me as a romantic gesture by a master printer (we are married).
