The embellishments are wooden as well. I have an oven pull that I keep right next to my stove. I find it so handy, that I find myself grabbing for this instead of a pot holder. & I love the fact that I don't burn my hands anymore. HOW TO USE: Basically, its a "Push / Pull " simple tool used to move the oven racks in & out without exposing your hand to burns. The "V" Notch on the end is used to push the Hot Racks in, & the cut-out Notch on the bottom/side is used to pull the rack out. MEASUREMENTS: 10 3/4" long x 1/2 thick. CARE: To clean just use soap & water & dry. Our experience has been that many do not know what this tool is for, or why it can be useful. However, there are also many who do know what it is & can remember having used one similar in the past (many as a child). Most have memories of the burns that "almost happened".
